I am very interested in working for Sun Microsystems this summer, on
the X11/NeWS window system. I am pleased to hear that Sun has
significantly increased the resources it is dedicating to NeWS, and I
would like to find out what projects there are that I could work on.

James:

There you have it. The previous three messages you should distribute
as you see fit. Since you understand the position I am in with respect
to other job offers, please keep it low key -- I want to keep all of
my options open. I am quite serious about wanting the job, but before
I make the decision, what I need in hand is a firm job offer I can't
refuse. I will be graduating in May, and will be able to start at the
beginning of June. I am hoping that Sun will consider all my work
experience that relates to what I will be doing, instead of just
basing the offer on my date of my graduation. I will call Channler
Drawdy soon to discuss things with him. I sent this stuff to you first
since you have the inside scoop on things, and probably know what's
best for me.
